BioLast fall I decided not to continue my academic path of becoming a high school english teacher, and instead went to work as a security officer for the campus Art Museum.
...I know, it is a fairly odd choice for a 120 lb 5'2 female. But, the pay is good, and the job is pretty cool. Many aspects of it are... such a head trip, that it is worth it for now just for the mind-warp effect that it has on my view of the city. Because so much of my job, my coworkers, and working for the "enemy" has been worth writing about, I started this journal last fall to record some of my experiences.
Now, one year later, I am re-enrolled in the school of education (to my parent's joy!), a semi professional Bellydancing Instructor and Performer, and a part time Security Officer for the State of Wisconsin. Life has changed a lot since I was a quarter life crisis burdened 22 year old with out a job, for the better! :)
